Huge thank you to the Organizing Committee.  They have put in over 1,000 hours since this fall to put the event together.

Transportation/Parking.  The event is very big this year with over 530 racers registered and another 100+ coaches/wax techs, so please car pool where possible and follow parking guidelines at the Nordic Center.  Don’t hesitate to park in the dirt lot/overflow.

Bibs for the qualifier or individual start will be in the teamroom when you arrive.  Keep your bib for the day for U16 & U20 athletes. U18 will get new bibs for the heats at the race office for the top 30 moving onto the heats.

Chips for the qualifier, pick up in the stadium.

Leg stickers for the heats, put it on your left calf so the finish camera can see it when you have an epic lunge at the finish.  U18 stickers will be with your heat bib pick up (you are responsible to pick up your bib). U16/U20 will get your heat sticker in the stadium (do not loose your bib after your qualifier).

U18: Heats will not be timed. 2 lucky losers will be the two 3rd place finishers with best qualifier time.  Semifinals will be top 3. This is a rule from the ICR. This was decided to reduce possible errors in timing with running over 1,000 starts tomorrow.

U16: Ladder format- boys and girls together based on qualifier time. Awards will be broken out based on year of birth and gender from the 3 round of heats.

U18 heats planned to start at 11:15

U20/Open heats planned to start 12:20

U16 Heats planned to start 15:40

Put your warm ups on the fencing at the far end of the stadium. Pack a parka for the heats to keep yourselves warm between heats.

Course will close at 8:25. You can warm up on course until that time. Warm up on Banff Ave and Frozen Thunder after 8:25

Start lists are all on Zone4. 1 list for U16/U18/U20/Open, 1 list for Masters, U14/U12/U10/U8.

Come to the teamroom to check in/get your bib at least 1hr before your start.

Skis will be ready 15 minutes before you start. If you don’t have race skis, be sure to let us know when you pick up your bib.

    Awards reminder:

    U8/U10/U12- participation awards

    U12/U14/U16 Year of birth awards

    U18/U20/Open/Masters Category awards

YOG Selection will be as per the selection criteria, but will now select top 2 men, 2 women at the end of the weekend. Announcement will be on Sunday afternoon.

You have all put in lots of amazing work this year.  Lets get out there and have some fun pushing your limits and skiing fast!
