    Hello U16 and older!

The first AB Cup Race of the year has arrived!

The forecast is for a great day of racing -10 to -4 for the day.  Possibly some light snow, so be sure to pack your glasses for sun or snow.

We had a great day of training on the sprint course and you all know it well.  The course crew will scrub the tracks in a few areas that were tricky today, and especially the low corner by the bike park will be a turning zone with no tracks.

You will access the start from the Banff Trail for the qualifier and heats.

Most skis have been dropped off tonight, but if not, bring them by 7am Saturday morning.

We will have your race skis ready for testing 30 min before your qualifier start. (just enough kick to make it up the climbs, focusing on being fast!).  Bring race skis back to the teamroom after the qualifier so we can touch them up for the heats.

Qualifier bibs will be in the teamroom and you need to collect your chip on the way to the start.  Bibs for the heats will be in the BWTC and need to be picked up by the athletes.

Awards will be at the east end of the stadium at 2:45 (YOB for U16, Category for U18 and older).

Arrive 1 hour before your start (on zone4 soon) to check in at the teamroom/collect your bib.  We will have wax room #18 for athletes to put their bags in and hang out.  Wax your warm up skis with rode multigrade violet.

U18 and U16, depending on where you live, it would be good to go home between your qualifier and the heats to relax/recharge.

    Schedule for the day:

You all have done some great training for the past 6 months (and years).  Racing is the time to put all that training to use and really have fun skiing fast.  Get out there and leave it all on the course.
