Great day of racing Canmore Nordic athletes!!! I am very proud of everyone for pushing themselves and in achieving personal goals. I am also very proud of our club for hosting such a great event. It’s no surprise that people from all over north america are here this weekend enjoying our community and cross country skiing.

    SKIS:
    LC Athletes and older:
-Skis should have been dropped off at the teamroom tonight at 6:45PM

    TT Athletes and younger
-Drop Classic skis at the teamroom Sunday by 10:00AM

    For Sunday’s race:
    – Classic interval start race, 30 seconds
    – 1km and 2.5km courses. Ask your coach in the morning if you are not 100% sure
    – 3 tracks around the course, choose the shortest way around the course
    – There are no “striding only” zones
    – Remember that you can start 3 seconds before or after your official time. That gives you 6 seconds to trigger the wand. Poles needs to be in front of the wand
    – Course closes at 850am. Warm up and ski testing in xc stadium and start of the Banff trail
    – Morning race awards at 1305, afternoon race awards at 1530
    – Arrive and check in to the team room 1.5 hours before your start

    Distances and laps:

I am building a fire, and everyday I train, I add more fuel. At just the right moment, I light the match.
