AWESOME work today team. Lots of really good racing.  All your hard work shows in your performance today.  Be proud of that.

Tomorrow!  Classic mass start day.  It is a mass start race, but focus on yourself out there. Don’t be afraid to hang on with a pack, but sometimes you need to let it go, then reel them back in. It is racing and you have to decide on the fly what is best.

Start list is on zone4.  Arrive at the teamroom 1.5 to check in, get your bib, and wax your warm up skis. Lots of different forecasts out there, so we will recommend a warm up wax when you arrive in the morning.  Have some Rode Multigrade, Violet, and Viola Extra in your pocket to wax your own race skis.

There will be leg bibs for U18 and U14. You are in big categories and they want to see your number on the camera at the finish to be sure you are in the proper result order for photo finishes. This sticker goes on your LEFT leg.

Skis will be ready 30 minutes before your start for testing. Check in at the teamroom for adjustments.

Technique zone on last hill of the 2/2.5km loop.  This means you can NOT double pole this section.  Stride, run, or herringbone.

Chips will be at the start. Be sure to arrive at the start at least 10 minutes before your start so there is proper time to get your chip and load the grid with some start fields of over 70 racers.

When you go to the start, go straight from the marshaling area directly to your start grid as to not walk over the timing loops in the snow near the finish line.

    Course closes at 8:55am

Warm up on Banff trail and frozen thunder.

These are challenging courses, but you have done the work.  Get out and dig deep in the pain cave tomorrow.  You will recover on the down hills or after the finish.  Rising to the challenge and hurting is what makes this sport great.
