    Hello,

I hope you all had a good August long weekend and are ready for another solid week of team training.

Notes for training in the smoke: As a guideline and using the Calgary air quality index (the closest forecast to us): http://weather.gc.ca/airquality/pages/abaq-002_e.html
If it’s moderate risk or greater (4+) -> no intensity outside. Maximum of 1.5 hours outside if it’s low intensity training
If it’s high risk (7+) -> no training outside at all.

As well, as noted by Environment Canada, “smoke conditions can change quickly over short distances and can vary considerably hour-by-hour” So please use common sense in addition to the Calgary air quality index. For example if Calgary says 2, but ash is falling from the sky and you can’t see across the street, stay inside. Keep those lungs healthy.

Monday(6) No team training, enjoy your Holiday

Tuesday(7) 9:00-11:00 TT/LC/LC+ Uphill Monitoring Run 🙂 Every race/testing event is a chance to fine tune your race preparation. Find the type of breakfast that works for you as well as how long before the event it needs to be. Typically 2 hours, but you are all unique. Meet at the teamroom.

Wednesday(8) 9:00-11:30 LC/LC+ Classic Rollerski. Meet at Travel Alberta with 2 bars in your drinkbelt.
The smoke is not too bad this morning and looks a bit worse in Calgary, so we will go ahead with the session as planned. But, if the conditions change and the smoke rolls in we will shorten the workout.

Thursday(9) 9:30-11:30 LC/LC+ Ride your bike from home for 30 min- leave at 9:30 and meet at the BWTC at 10am for strength. Ride home for a cool down.

Friday(10) 9:45-11:30 LC+ Strength at the BWTC. We will run for 30 min to warm up. If you have 2 pair of shoes, it will be good to keep 1 pair clean for the gym.
