The BCRR wind-up this weekend at COP promises to be a SUPER FUN event!! Everyone will get the chance to race a nordic skicross downhill race and a mixed relay (at least 1 boy and 1 girl on the same team). Costumes are a big part of the fun and there are prizes for best costumes so get out your wigs, fabulous sunglasses, boxer shorts or any other zany thing that you can ski in. Last year Canmore took top honours in the costume department so let’s keep the tradition up!!! 😛

    Arrival time:
please be at COP at 9:00am. Everyone must purchase a day ticket (tell them you are racing and they will give you a discounted ticket for $7.50) so head into the main ticket office and get that done first thing when you arrive. After that we will meet in front of the Nordic tent on the west side of the ski trails. Roy and I and the other parent leaders will be there. Please be there no later than 9:20am. We are putting evenly matched Canmore relay teams together in the spirit of fun – you will find out who your teammates are when you arrive. Please bring plenty to drink, a snack, and sunglasses ( I saw a lot of squinters last weekend!) 8) 8)

    Technique: skating

    Wax:
Solda: Techno red or Solda Performance Red
    Swix: CH8 (-4 to +1), LF8 (-4 to +1 snow temp)

Please wax, scrape thoroughly, and brush your skis. Skis with any wax remaining on the base will be very SLOW in soft spring conditions.

*** If you raised money for Right to Play please bring all the funds raised to the wind-up because a representative from RTP will be there to receive the donations.
