Hello Everyone:

Thanks to all of the athletes, coaches, and parents who made the AWG a success for the biathlon team. Overall the team collected 23 medals, that is quite impressive. What is MORE impressive to me is the way the participants; Saidy, Katrine, Lucas, Jack, Thomas, Anna, Emma, Claire, Megan, Lance, Matthew, Tait and Kijirsti came together as a team. You welcomed Thomas Hulsman and Eric as members of the team and made the AWG a rewarding experience for them. You conducted yourselves like the fine young people that you are, made me proud to be your coach and represented the Canmore Nordic Ski Club well. A special thanks must go out to Dave Dalman, for coaching the Air Rifles kids and making the rifles work in less that ideal temperatures and Garth Jenkins who toiled in the wax room for many hours to make the skis great. I will always remember these games as a great experience.

Now back to training and racing.

Wednesday, Feb 12 – 6:00 – DryFire with Geret for LC’s and T3’s
Thursday, Feb 13 – 4:30 – 6:15 – T3/LC Practice with Jeff and John
Tentative – Friday, Feb 14 – 1:30 – 3:00 w/ Geret OR
Tentative – Saturday, Feb 15 – Time TBD – Time Trial with Foothills.

I will be going to Prince Edward Island with Nicola, Aidan and Matt for the WYJCH Trials.

Upcoming: Feb 28 – March 2 – Alberta Championships in Hinton
