Hello CNSC athletes and parents –

In recent years, our racing athletes have successfully incorporated an increasing amount of cross-training into their overall training plans. One of these activities is biking.

It has come to our attention that the CNSC’s insurance policy through Cross Country Alberta/Canada does not and will not cover this activity. Since insurance coverage is mandatory for all our Club activities, the CNSC Board has researched various insurance options specific to biking. Their recommendation is for the Club to join the Alberta Biking Association (ABA). This requires the Club to pay an annual fee of $150 and each individual athlete to pay $35 annually for a basic membership to the ABA.

Unfortunately, we cannot add this fee to program fees because each athlete must register and pay individually with the ABA.

We will need all athletes in the TT program and up to register individually ($35 youth/$45 adult) as soon as possible (we start biking next week).

    To register, please go to:

Note that If you are a member of the RMCC, you only need to get insurance once, so you will already be covered.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
