Hello Team, here’s a bit of info to pass your way!

Update: due to weather, we are doing a hike/run Saturday morning, and then heading into Calgary for an afternoon at the village leisure centre (wave pool, waterslides) No biking. If you planned on joining us just for the bike ride please get in touch with either myself or Alain, we will still need some vehicles for transporting, but not as many. Include a bathing suit!

Lodging: We will stay camp Kiwanis (just off the roundabout, when heading towards Bragg Creek). We will have a few buildings to sleep and eat. It is a typical hostel setting. Bring a sleeping bag and pillow.

Food: Parents will cook all meals. Athletes will clean the dishes. You will need to bring your own eating implements (bowl, plate, ustensils, cup). Let Becky know ASAP if you have any food allergies.

When to arrive: Please arrive camp Kiwanis Friday between 4:30-4:45pm in time to to start the workout. We will train outside at the camp on Friday, wear running shoes and appropriate clothing

Schedule: We have 3 workouts planned during this camp. Here is the tentative plan:
    Fri: Strength/agility/running
Sat: Long Z1 mt-bike ride. Play around camp in PM
    Sun: Ski striding/running
*** the schedule could change at any point

Make sure that your bike is in good working order and bring an extra tube in your camelbak. Bring some warm/waterproof clothing for the bike ride, including a backpak/camelbak to transport it.

    What to bring:
    sleeping bag
    pillow
    towel
    plate, bowl, utensils, cup
    headlamp
    heart rate monitor
    watch
    sunscreen
    rain gear (important)
warm training clothes (forecast is for a cool weekend)
    clothing for around camp
    bathing suit
    light jacket
    toiletry kit
    favorite bars/snacks for your workouts
    running shoes
ski striding poles (about 5cm shorter than your winter classic poles)
running gear (shoes, shirt, shorts etc.)
bike gear (water bottles, eyewear, shorts, shoes, helmet, jersey, bike!)
    bottle holder for running
please leave your ipod at home
    a good attitude!

An email went out asking for extra help with transporting gear and people on Saturday morning (8:30am at camp Kiwanis). We are still short a vehicle or 2. Come and join us for a bike ride, or go on your own, or go hiking! If the weather is nasty, we will modify this workout to 2 separate workouts for the day, but we might still do a shorter bike ride. Please call Alain on Friday evening or Saturday morning 403-678-0266.

For sure that we need the help of all the parents that signed up!
