Alberta Youth Champs
If you are a 2005,2006 track attack kid you will not want to miss this event. Super fun good times happen out in Bragg Creek with 2 overnights, great food, disco dance party and a couple of awesome ski races to round out the weekend. The deadline to sign up for the early bird rate is this December 15. Mark your calendar and make this happen.

Please glide wax your skate and classic (glide zones only) with LF4 to help protect them from this cold snow (this should also be done if you put your skis in the Hot Box)!!

Monday 5:00-6:00 classic
It’s going to be cold but we are going skiing. I’m trusting your judgement and letting you make the choice for your kids because you know them best so if you think they would have fun and be able to stay warm then send them. If they don’t wish to join or they get cold easily please take the night off. My intention is for skiing to be a super fun experience I don’t want them to remember being cold all the time. We will be outside for one hour.
If you think they are up for it, dress them in layers, put hand warmers in their mittens and booties and send them up. We will ski for a shorter period of time and it will be a continuous ski. I waxed using a base binder and swix green today and it was pretty good. If the wax conditions change I will post a different wax recommendation tomorrow.
HEADLAMPS ARE MANDATORY. KIDS WITHOUT HEADLAMPS WILL BE LEFT IN THE TEAMROOM, FED CHOCOLATE COVERED COFFEE BEANS, AND BE GIVEN A PUPPY TO TAKE HOME.

Practice Cancelled

Thinking ahead to next week my plan is to have a regular practice session on Monday and a potluck family Christmas dinner at the warming hut after our scavenger hunt on Thursday.
