    HI Team

Great work at the Alberta Cup races – There were some excellent performances on both days showing heart, determination, and effort! I was really pleased to see how well many of you did in following through on your race plan. It is important to see these first races as ‘just getting started’ events – we are early in our race season and if you keep working as hard as you have been, you’ll be able to ski as well as you’d like.

Here is our week this week – please note we do not have access to the team from from Dec 3-17 – so we will meet for our practices at the end of the flagpoles closest to the biathlon stadium.

Tuesday, Dec 4 – T2 only practice – T1s I would like you to have the evening off, as we have had 7 days of the previous ten of traning (including our LL camp dates) – being able to recover well is important so that we don’t get sick. T2’s – we will meet at 430 at the BWTC for a strength session, followed by a skate ski session. All done by 630p,

Thursday, Dec 6 – T1/2 practice – classic skiing. 5-630. We do not have access to the team room – meet at the biathlon end of the flagpoles. put on 4 or 5 layers of rode multigrade. We will be skiing out on the banff trail past the minescar, so if you are worried about the odd rock poking through the snow, bring an older pair of skis. please remember a headlamp tonight.

Saturday, Dec 8 – Elk Pass family ski – we will meet at Elk Pass parking lot at 930 am for a long ski – bring a bag lunch, a thermos with a warm drink, a backpack, water, snack, and a warm jacket. Back to the parking lot at 1230pm

    cheers
    Roy
