    Hi everyone,
    Hope you had a great Christmas and you are enjoying your holidays.

    Wednesday: There is a fun New Year’s Day ski orienteering event at the Nordic Center. While not an official TA event it promises to be lots of fun.

    Saturday: NOTE CHANGES: We will do a TA ski in Kananaskis on Saturday January 4th. Due to current trail conditions and weather we will meet at Elk Pass parking lot at 10:30 am (leave yourself 1:15 to get there). Classic skiing. Wax recommendation: APPLY 4 LAYERS OF MUTIGRADE PURPLE, dress warm it will likely be around -14. We will plan to ski for 1.5 – 2 hours (~8-12k). You need a snack and water with you while you ski and pack a lunch, we will go and eat at the Pocaterra lodge after we are done. Parents and siblings welcome.

    Important info for upcoming races:

    Jan. 11 – Built for Speed race, Confederation Park, Calgary (this replaces old BCRR races)
    What: super fun day of races at a golf course in Calgary incl. mass start classic race (1.5 – 2k), jump and bumps skills competition, and a fun relay on a 300m course, all competitions are classic, pee wee and mini midget age categories, TA coaches will take care of kick waxing at event site
    When: 11am – 3pm, Saturday Jan. 11

    Jan. 18-19 – Kimberley Kootenay Cup
    What: 2 days of regional races in Kimberley, only away race of the year
