We are very fortunate to have Nicolas Lemyre and his family living in Canmore this year and skiing with the club. Nicolas was the sport psychologist for the Norwegian cross country and biathlon World Cup teams these past few years. He is also the director of the Norwegian research center for children and youth sports in Oslo. The presentation for parents (only) will take place on Tuesday, December 19, 6:30-8:00pm, at the BWTC.
There are currently 3 different training programs on the go for the LCs right now depending on what races you have done and plan to do. Please read the workouts closely so you can plan accordingly.
Tuesday(12) 4:30-6:15 Classic ski and strength. We will all start skiing. You will need klister on your skis. Meet at the teamroom.
If you raced in Sovereign AND you are traveling to race in Rossland only 45 minutes of Z2 skiing.
Thursday(14) 4:30-5:45 Skate intensity in Bullseye. Meet at the teamroom.
Saturday(16) 10:00-12:00 Classic ski on Moraine Lake Road. If you raced in Sovereign, distance ski with technique work. If you did not race in Sovereign, you will have a time trial today.
