Reminder for the parents: PARENT SPORT PSYCHOLOGY “Motivation to win in sport and in life” Tuesday, December 19th, 6:30-8:00PM, BWTC
We are very fortunate to have Nicolas Lemyre and his family living in Canmore this year and skiing with the club. Nicolas was the sport psychologist for the Norwegian cross country and biathlon World Cup teams these past few years. He is also the director of the Norwegian research center for children and youth sports in Oslo. The presentation for parents (only) will take place on Tuesday, December 19, 6:30-8:00pm, at the BWTC.

With the cancellation of AB Cups 3 & 4 this weekend, the IPC happening at the Nordic Centre and warmer than expected temperatures we’ve decide to mix things up a bit this week.

    Monday 11th 5 – 6:30pm @ CNC

Classic technique working on different striding tempo’s. Wax with Swix Universal klister and cover it with a layer of Rode Multigrade stick wax. Head lamps and drink belts essential.

    Tuesday 12th 4:30 – 6:00pm @ CNC
TT Biathlon- Special time due to IPC World Cups

    Wednesday 13th 5 – 6:45pm @ CNC
Skate sprint race in Kings Court format. This is a great fun session where skiers get to test their speed and practice some sprint racing tactics. We would love for some parents to come and help with recording finish order, marshaling at the start of each heat and helping with awards. Skiers should bring a warm jacket to put on between rounds and a drink belt. Note the extra 15 mins for this sessions. Email Matt or Allison if you are keen to help out.

    Saturday 16th @ Moraine Lake Rd: 10:00-12:00

Classic distance ski at Moraine Lake Rd in Lake Louise with some technique work along the way. This will be a 2 hour session so please bring a drink belt and snack. Wax recommendation Swix Extra Blue. Parents welcome to join.

You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress at the same time.
