Howdy U14’s

Happy Mid-Exchange Week to you all, I hope you have been getting up to all sorts of trouble with your new housemates this week. And a happy race weekend to all our biathletes out there racing this weekend!

AB Cup registration is now open! Register HERE. Registration fee increases Dec. 8 so please register this week if possible!

 

Here’s what this week’ll look like:

Monday (25) No Practice
No Practice, those of you coming off of our biathlon race weekend take the day to rest as is our normal procedure, those of you at the exchange will have your fill of skiing with me in the morning.

Tuesday (26) Skate Ski @ Canmore Nordic Centre
5:00-6:30. Meet at track start. For the few able to come, we’ll do some 1 on 1 technique and a reviewed focus on offset.

Exchange athletes you will be having your potluck dinner tonight to say farewell to our Chelsea friends!

Thursday (5) Biathlon
4:45-6:15. Biathlon. Kerstin will be your main lead tonight, with Sonija from our U16 program lending a hand.

Those of you I have talked to about slings, tonight will be your night to give it a try! With the races all done for the month, now is our time to revisit some of our earlier lessons and techniques for everyone.

Congratulations to Gabi for winning our November Monthly Challenge at a total of 16/20 hits!

Saturday (7) No Practice: Family Ski
1:00-3:00. Caitlin and I are away at Sovereign Lake this week, and unfortunately as are all our regular substitute coaches (Many of them racing, a good luck to Coach Leah!) However, we’d still love for you to ski if you are available! We recommend to get the whole family involved, and head out together at our usual time if you are willing and able.

 

Just a heads up: NEXT Monday December 9th we will not have training to give us coaches a chance to take a day off returning from Sovereign Lake. This session will be made up with an extra Friday evening session to get us ready for Alberta Cup #1&2!
