FANTASTIC JOB this weekend in AB Cup 1 and 2 and Biathletes in the Calforex Cup. You all should be proud of your effort for the first races of the year. This week we are at it again leaving for Sovereign Lakes on Thursday. Be sure to get lots of rest to come into the weekend ready to rumble.
Tuesday (3): LCs- 4:45 to 6:15; T3s & Biathletes 5:15-6:45 (if you need to switch groups due to configuring rides, that is ok). We will check skate and classic pole length, classic ski and find appropriate wax pockets, then hit the gym for light strength and mobility.
Equipment to bring: Skate and Classic Poles, Race classic skis, Swix blue extra kick wax, cork, WARM clothes (we will not be skiing out of Zone 1 and will be adding kick wax to your skis out on the trail). Come with only 2 layers of blue extra on your skis.
Wednesday (4): T3/LC 4:30-6:00. Zone 1A Classic ski on warm up skis. Dress warmly and bring drinkbelt, a snack, headlamp and dry clothes to change into at the end. Don’t overwax your skis, think glide! This session will focus on continuous skiing in Zone 1 with only quick stops for drinking and eating. We will head out on the natural snow trails, hence the need for warmup skis rather than race skis.
