    Wow, another AYC is in the books and I am beyond proud of all our athletes and parents for their hard work and sportsmanship. Lots of highlights and lots of hardware!
    Logan Bryant, AYC sportsmanship award; helping out a friend in need
    Emma Hendry, AYC sportsmanship award; making sure everyone feels good
    Felix Clement, AYC sportsmanship award; mentoring younger athletes
    Warren Wilson, Chaperone of the year Award for staying up all night with a very sick little boy.
    Jason and Mark for their superior work waxing our skis.
    Carol and Monica for their incredible logistic support, attention to detail, medical support, warm ups, cool downs and hugs at the finish line.
    Alaina, jumping in, warming up the boys and coralling the kittens at the start line.
    Robbie for handing me that perfect coffee at just the right moment.
    Jeff for dragging all the gear out there for BCXC.
    These weekends are about so much more than a race. They create memories and embed cross-country skiing into the fabric of our childrens lives. Many thanks for sharing your children with me for this incredible opportunity.

    This evening’s training session is only for kids who did not attend AYC. It looks like the snow is perfect so let’s slap on a little rode multigrade wax and get out there. The days are getting longer but we still need our headlamps.

    Go have some fun and ski with your family, there is no session tonight.

    If you are going away this week and know ahead of time that you will not be attending please email me so that I can plan accordingly with the number of coaches we will need. Thank you.

    Cookie Race
    This is a great event out in Peter Lougheed Park. All experience levels are welcome. Try to car pool if you are going out as parking is limited and it’s more fun for kids to travel with their friends. Registration is on zone 4.
