    Hello TTs,

You are crushing it these days! So much great work has been accomplished and impressive improvement for the team in all aspects of skiing. Keep up the good work.

More AB Cup (Fort McMurray and Red Deer) details will be shared via email later this week, stay tuned.

    Training this week:
    Monday(1) Skate Ski @ CNC
POD 6: 5:00-6:15 Meet at the firehydrant
POD 7: 5:00-6:15 Meet at the teamroom
POD 8: 6:15-7:30 Meet at the firehydrant
POD 9: 6:15-7:30 Meet at the teamroom
Be sure to have your headlamp tonight!! We will be taking all the work with our downhill skills and putting them to the test resurrecting the old Canmore Nordic downhill challenge from the top Chipmunk to the bottom of Salt Lake.

    Tuesday(2) Skate Ski @ CNC
POD 8: 5:00-6:15 Meet at the firehydrant
POD 9: 5:00-6:15 Meet at the teamroom
POD 6: 6:15-7:30 Meet at the firehydrant
POD 7: 6:15-7:30 Meet at the teamroom
Tonight will be focusing on balance and strength, mostly on the lit loop.

    Thursday(4) Biathlon @ CNC
    POD Biathlon: 4:45-6:15

Saturday(6) Classic ski @ CANMORE NORDIC CENTRE
POD 6: 9:30-12:00 Meet at Germany
POD 7: 9:30-12:00 Meet at Japan
POD 8: 9:30-12:00 Meet at Norway
POD 9: 9:30-12:00 Meet at Switzerland
The road conditions are looking very poor combined with the significant snowfall, skiing will be quite challenging on Cascade Fireroad. We will spice it up with some different trails and deep pow here at the nordic centre.

The forecasts vary between -19 to -15 for the day, never really warming up. So we will not delay the start but stay with the am training. The cold front is supposed to roll in later in the afternoon, so good to get out skiing. YOU NEED TO DRESS APPROPRIATELY FOR COLD! Toque, buff, mits, multiple layers under your jacket.

2 pro tips: put hand warmers in your pocket/drink belt and open them up if needed. Fill your drink belt with hot water (even better, hot sport drink). It will encourage you to drink more, and keeps your lower back warm.

If someone shows up in tights and a headband, you will not be allowed to ski as that is not safe.
