    Hello LCs,

    We are currently 5 weeks away from Nationals. That is a perfect amount of time to accomplish some really great, high quality training so you can be in your best racing shape for the championships. The next 2 weeks (this week and family week) will be the two most important for your training and your recovery. The sessions will be challenging, but with all the training you have done this far in the year, I am confident you can handle it. Take the extra time to be sure and pack your recovery meals for right after each session, and focus on some quality recovery at home each day (rolling, stretching).

    Over the next 2 weeks we will have a Recovery Meal Challenge! At the start of each session I’ll do a survey to see who has a recovery meal to eat right after training (1 point), and also a bonus point to who has the best meal for the day. Whoever has the most points at the end of the 2 weeks will get a prize.

    Training this week:
    Tuesday(14) 4:30-6:00 Classic intensity, Meet at the teamroom. In spirit of Valentines day, we will be working your cardio systems hard tonight to get your hearts nice and big 🙂

    Wednesday(15) 4:30-6:30 Skate- Relay cross training! Meet at the teamroom. We will be working on the different features of the relay cross tonight.

    Thursday(16) 4:30-6:30 Classic ski and Strength. Meet at the teamroom.

    SUNDAY(19) 10:00-12:00 Skate Distance and hill climbing work. Meet at the teamroom.
