This week is the most important week of training before the Nationals. We will keep the volume of training high but the intensity low. The training sessions will be in the morning since you do not have school.

    Monday (21):
Multi, Primo, Team Trail Sports Development

1000-1200: Classic distance. Meet at flag row at 1000.

    Tuesday (22):

Jackrabbit coaching. This is not training but lots of fun on snow with kids!

    Wednesday (23):
Multi, Primo, Team Trail Sports Development

We have flip-flopped the next 2 workouts due to Tuesday overnight cold temperatures.

1100-1300: Distance with strength. Bring skate skis, boots, poles, AND classic poles. Meet at flag row at 1100.

    Thursday (24):
    Primo, Team Trail Sports Development

900-1200: Skate distance with a focus on downhills. Meet at flag row at 900.

    Saturday (26):
Multi, Primo, Team Trail Sports Development

930-1100: Classic Time Trial. Drayton and Nationals have classic sprints so it’s a good practice on setting a good qualifying pace.

Glide wax your skis with ULLA violet or Swix CH6. Kick wax with a base of Swix VG35, then 2 layers of Rode multigrade violet, and finish with 2 layers of Swix Blue extra. Bring a couple of cans of wax and a cork in your drink belt in case you need to adjust before you start.

You will do 2 qualifiers, 30 minutes apart. Wear your race suit for the qualifiers but also bring warm clothes for in-between the 2 qualifiers. The course is 1 km long (see below). Arrive at 930 and meet at flag row for last minute instructions. You will have 30 minutes to warm up so plan it before arriving.
