Well done to ALL racers that attended Alberta Winter Games and Western Canadian Championships. Hopefully those of you who weren’t away at races took the opportunity to have some fun adventures during family week!
There is a lot of sickness going around at the moment so please do not come to workouts if you are not 100%. Take care of yourselves, give yourself a good rest and eat and sleep well.
Monday 22nd
Skate – technique intervals. Please be on time as we will ski away from the end of the flags at 5pm. Drink belt and head lamp necessary!
No workout for athletes who attend Western Canadian Championships
Wednesday 24th
Classic – downhill skills! Let’s get comfortable going fast and cornering on those long skinny boards! Drink belts and head lamps needed. Wax recommendation: we will still run on klister tonight. Swix Universal or Rode Multigrade should work. If you have hard wax on from the LL ski on Saturday you’ll need to scrape this off and reapply.
February Club Athlete of the Month
Voting has opened for this months Athlete of the Month. Consider all of your team mates, not just the Train to Train crew! You can vote for anyone you have been at a workout or race with! Parents and skiers/biathletes are encouraged to vote 😛

Saturday 27th
Cookie Race, Kananaskis
If you don’t want to attend the race, that is totally fine. Get out and go for a family ski, bike, run, just do something active and fun!
We must have pure, honest, and warm-hearted motivation, and on top of that determination, optimism, hope, and the ability not to be discouraged. The whole of humanity depends on this motivation.
