Hello LC and WS,
Only 3 weeks until the first races of 2016 Nationals! Lot of exciting things happening between now and then. Be sure to look after yourselves so you are in the best shape possible to help you achieve your goals for the season.
Starting March 1, we have to turn our teamroom over to the national team to make way for SKI TOUR CANADA, so please take note of our meeting points for the sessions.
For everyone going to XC Nationals, we will have an information meeting on Thursday, March 3rd at 6:30pm in the Bill Warren. It will be great to have at least 1 family member there.
To all you Ladies out there: Fast and Female will be hosting an exciting event March 12th right here in Canmore. More information here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/fast-and-female-champ-chat-canada-ski-tour-canmore-ab-tickets-21645640694
Finally, on to training this week:
Tuesday(1): 4:45-6:30 Conditions are very poor on Goat Creek Trail, so we will be skiing at the Nordic Center. Classic intensity, wax with Swix Universal KLISTER. Meet at the South East end of the XC Stadium.
Wednesday(2): 4:30-6:15 Skate Distance with speed work. Meet at the South East end of the XC Stadium.
Thursday(3): 4:30-6:30 Classic Distance and Strength. Meet at the Bill Warren so you can drop off your gym clothes. Nationals meeting at 6:30pm.
Saturday(5): 9:30-12:30 Lake O’Hara Ski! Meet at the Lake O’Hara parking lot to classic ski up to Le Relais day shelter at Lake O’Hara. Alison and Bruce Millar have graciously offered to warm up the day shelter for us and will provide us with hot chocolate while we enjoy a bite to eat (that you bring in your drink belt). Bring an extra layer around your waist for the ski down as it is much easier than the way up. Please take a moment to write your name on the sign up sheet so the Millar’s know how much Hot Chocolate to make: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sd8YuzjGcOYm0Q8F3BGezty92aOH5GzOQj2mFWvIGYg/edit?usp=sharing
It is still winter up at O’Hara, so no need for klister. Wax with Rodi Multigrade Violet Kick Wax.
