Ribbon Creek Camp: Friday, September 22- Saturday, September 23

Parents drop their kids at HI Kananaskis Wilderness Hostel. Kids should have had a snack prior and be ready for running games.Saturday, September 23 at 9:30 am
Parents and siblings are welcome to join the out and back hike to Ribbon Falls departing from the HI Kananaskis Wilderness Hostel. Lunch is provided for the track attack participants. 2 dormitory co-ed rooms. 13 participants plus a chaperone in each dormitory. There will be one female and one male overnight chaperone. Linens and towels provided.Food
Services will be included in the registration cost. Food services are being provided by Canmore Nordic with the help of parent volunteers. The following meals are included in event registration:
Friday – dinner
Saturday – breakfast
Saturday- trail lunchTransportation
It is the athlete’s /family’s responsibility to organize transportation to HI Kananaskis Wilderness Hostel on Friday and from the Hostel to Canmore on Saturday.Cost
$75.00-$90.00. An email will be sent post-camp with payment amount and instructions.Schedule
Friday, September 22
4:30pm – 5:00 arrive at HI Kananaskis Wilderness Hostel and check in
5:00pm –6:15pm Team welcomes and introductions and capture the flag 6:30-7:00- Dinner
7:00-7:30- Rock paper scissors for dinner clean up and dishes
7:30-8:30- Bonfire (fire ban permitting)
9:30- Lights outSaturday, September 23
7:30am-7:45am – morning wake up run
7:45am- 8:30 am- pack bags, clean rooms, pack bagged lunch. Everything out of rooms, ready for pick up when parents arrive
8:30 am – 9:00 am Breakfast
9:00 am- 9:30am – Rock paper scissors for dinner clean up and dishes. Kids make their sandwiches.
9:30- Families joining on the Ribbon Falls hike arrive. Load kids overnight gear into parents vehicles
9:45 am- Hike departs from hostel
3:00 pm- Parent pick up athletes from the hostel.Chaperones and coaches

Any changes will be shared via the forum. Participants are highly encouraged to leave cell phones at home.
In the event of any illness, serious injury or emergency involving your child, you will be contacted. In case of emergency, camp leaders have a satellite phone and an inreach. Please ensure you are reachable by the contact number you have on file for the duration of the trip.

❖ Stay away from junk food
❖ Lights out at the latest 9:30 pm
❖ Try your best and have fun!Equipment to bring:
❖ Running shoes
❖ Waterproof jacket
❖ Training clothing, bring everything for – 10 and +30 weather, but check weather forecast the day before
leaving
❖ Casual clothing
❖ Water bottle
❖ Hiking backpack
❖ Personal toiletries, toothbrush, shampoo, soap, etc.
