Hi everyone,
Will be a big week with the Western Canadian Championships in town from Friday-Sunday (expected to be 450+ racers in the field). Even if you aren’t racing come on out and cheer on the Canmore racers!
Monday: Classic. Wax: 4 layers of Rode violet (0C).
This is the LAST DAY to register for the Westerns, registration closes at 11pm Monday. Link here: https://zone4.ca/reg.asp?id=8070&lan=1. Weather looks good with a chinook rolling in this week so if you were waiting to make sure the weather was not too cold before registering , I think it will be great weather.Thursday: Skating. We will work on downhills.
Saturday: Western Can. Champs skate sprint race (250m “drag race”, King’s Court format). Wax: Solda Performance Red. Kids need to be at the team room at 10AM with race skis waxed, scraped and brushed well. Skis need to be dropped at team room when right when you arrive. Mini midgets and pee wees King’s Court starts at 11am.
Sunday: Western Can. Champs skate distance race. (Mini-midget 2.5km, Pee wee 2.5k).
Wax: Solda Performance Red, if you raced today then just bring them up, no need to rewax
Arrival time at team room: Mini midget boys and girls 12:30pm, Peewees 12:40 pm (race starts 1:30 and 1:40 respectively, check start list on zone 4)See you out there!
