Hi Everyone, hope you had a good weekend. It was a great weekend at Nipika for those that missed out, congratulations to everyone that participated.
This week:
Monday Jan 24th:CLASSIC. We will have a quick parents meeting at the start of practice, in the team room for 10 minutes to provide some information to you about the Alberta Midget Championships, please make it a priority to catch this meeting as I’ll bring you up to speed on the event and answer any questions you have about the weekend.
The forecast looks warm so I’m going to recommend you apply a layer of Start ‘Wide’ or Swix Universal klister to the skis. We can add a cover if it’s too grabby.Thursday Jan 27th: SKATE. Doing some glide waxing would be great to add some warmer wax into your skis that have been getting lots of hard cold wax this winter.
Sunday Jan 30th: SKATE. RMSC. Our club hosts the annual Rocky Mountain Ski Challenge. Don’t forget to register via https://www.zone4.ca/onlinereg.asp?id=3320
Race starts for 7-8 yr olds- 12:40 (1.5km)
9-10 – 12:45 (1.5 km)
11-12 – 12:55 (2.5km)
There is also an afternoon portion. Meet in the stadium at 1:30pm to start skiing to the top of the course for a Downhill event at 2:00pm. Awards are at 3:00pmSee you soon
