Alain ParentKeymasterHi everyone,
Happy New Year! Hope you had a good break and are ready to get back at it with your TA buddies this week.Important:
1. Please update the TA race signup google doc if your child is planning on racing in the Built for Speed in Calgary and especially the Kimberley trip. I use this signup as a list of who’s attending what race and sometimes send additional info by email for each race to those kids who are signed up on this document. This is especially important for the Kimberley trip since there are some additional logistics with this out of town trip. Link here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjD4IpvHy8sWdHRBc1NkNFRjZy1mY294RGdwbkZ2Z0E&usp=drive_web#gid=152. We need parent helpers to sign up again to help out on snow. I have updated the spreadsheet from now until the end of the season (separate post pinned to the top of the forum posting page).
Monday: Skating, CNC
Thursday: Classic, CNC
**Last day to register for Built for Speed ski race in Calgary (see below)Saturday: Built for Speed, Confederation Park, UPDATED
Waxing: wax glide zones with Solda Performance Red, clean and sand grip zones well. IMPORTANT: In order to get all the skis done in time and not have everyone at the site too early Saturday race skis must be delivered to Rhonda’s house by 8pm Friday night (333 Pioneer Rd), I will bring them to the race site on SaturdayArrival time:
Mini midgets: 9:30 am (1st race at 11:20 am)
Peewees (2004-2005): 10:00 amWhat to bring: We are outside all day so bring a warm parka, snow pants, winter boots (we may take ski boots off between races), toque, mitts, gloves, change of ski socks (you get the idea here the more spare clothes the better), lunch, snacks , water, classic poles, classic boots and a few camp chairs to sit around in between races, hot drinks will be available but more is always better.
See you there!
Coming up:
Kootenay Cup, Kimberley
What: 2 days of regional races in Kimberley, only away race of the year
More info: register on zone 4 by Jan. 16th here : https://zone4.ca/onlinereg.asp?id=6198, will send out more details by email closer to the event to those kids signed up on the google race sigup doc (see above)
Accommodation: Your accommodation should already be booked. If not you can try to book a condo at Kirkwood Inn ( 1800 663 4755) but the remaining units booked under Canmore Nordic were released a few weeks ago.See you out there!
Rhonda
