    HOUSEKEEPING FOR THIS WEEK:

    • The after school workouts will start at 1645 from now on. This is to give you more time to get ready since it’s now in-person school
    • Glide wax your skis regularly to preserve them and to enjoy more glide. If your bases have any white spots, it’s time to glide wax them. Use your old stock of Solda Performance red
    • We will have a pod time trial on Saturday. In order for you to experience the course in the light, we will have a short workout on Friday afternoon for those racing on Saturday
    • We will not make kickwax recommendations for general training anymore. Take a look at the wax guide posted on this forum.

    General plan for the winter:
Primo and Supremo sessions are on Mon, Wed, Thu, Sat
Multi are on Wed, Thu, Sat

WINTER PODS: Some XC athletes are floating during the week, you’ll need to pay attention to where you meet for each workout. I recommend you print this jpeg for your fridge.

    UPDATE FOR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY:
There hasn’t been any grooming on the course we will use Saturday since the Wednesday rain. There’s a 1mm crust at the bottom of the shallow track and windblown snow in that track on some parts of the course. I know that we often say that we get tough conditions sometimes in races and we have to train in those, but we never race on a course that hasn’t been groomed for a week! The coaches feel that the course offers enough of a challenge and don’t want to add battling with snow conditions and possible slippery and skis on stilts. Both Friday’s recon and Saturday’s TT will be in skating now.

    Friday (15):
    Multi-Primo-Supremo

Only for those that are racing the TT tomorrow. Course recon today with race prep. 1530-1630 (it’s a half Friday). SKATING. We are using Saturday pods today. No need to warm up OYO, go straight to your meeting location.

    Saturday (16):
    Multi-Primo-Supremo

LC Time Trial in pods. Skating – 7.5km for everyone. Tentative first start at 9am. Stay tuned for more details.
