Matt DeCarufelKeymasterHello Team,
Great racing down in Confederation Park! Very good to see you out giving your all on some different rolling terrain and tricky conditions. That is what skiing conditions are like in 90% of the world, so it is good for us to get away from the bomb proof tracks of the Canmore Nordic Centre and practice.
While the race is still fresh, but you have also had a bit of time to analyze, here’s the link to the debrief form: https://forms.gle/skFWm3yjSCTiY2du5
Special Event: Wednesday evening right after training we will present the bingo winning prizes have a team goal activity. You have done a lot of great work and are building momentum into the race season. We want to do all we can to continue that positive momentum. Think about your personal goals between now and Nationals so you are prepared and ready to contribute. Pack a snack for right after to eat, dry shirt and socks.
Training this week:
Monday(13)- Rest Day due to race weekend
Tuesday(14)- Jackrabbit coaching. Check training peaks for any additional OYO training.
Wednesday(15)

4:45-6:45 Classic sprint practice.
Meet in the XC stadium at 4:45 for a good 30 min warm up with coaches. There have been some borderline starts at recent races, so we want to be sure and tighten that up so no one gets written warnings/ disqualified at races. We will do many sprint start practices with Mike Norton (FIS TD) and Andreas (Official Starter for Nationals).Saturday(18)
Multi/Primo/TTS
9:00-12:00 Classic distance at CNC. Meet in the XC Stadium with your WARM UP Skis! We will venture off the man made snow onto some marginal skiing conditions, but decent enough with you keep your eyes open. Pack 2 bars to eat. Goal for everyone to average 8-11km/hr today while skiing, for a total of 24-33km. -
