    Hello LCs and WSs,

Winter is in full swing and you are all busy with school, training, and racing. Be sure to look after yourselves to ensure you are staying healthy (wash hands often, drink lots of fluids, eat well, and get good sleep ~9hr/night… just to name a few).

We coaches have noticed some of you have grown since September when we measured poles last. Take a minute at home and measure yourself and your poles. Remember: Skate poles= Your height minus 14 CM, Classic poles= Your height minus 24cm. If your poles are too short, it is hard to ski with proper technique.

This week we will have 2 different programs going because some athletes are returning from hard races at world junior trials and others are working on a big week of training. Check your Training Peaks or Training Guidelines to ensure you are getting the ideal training for you.

    This week:

Tuesday(19): LC1- 4:30-6:30 Skate ski then strength. Meet at the Teamroom.
LC2/WS- 4:30-5:45 Skate ski then Mobility. Meet at the Teamroom.

Wednesday(20): LC1- 4:30-6:00 Classic Intensity. Meet at the Teamroom.
    LC2/WS- Off

Thursday(21): LC1/LC2/WS- 4:30-6:15 Skate intensity or speed work. Meet at the Teamroom.

Saturday(23): LC1/LC2/WS- 10:00-12:30 Distance combo ski at the Nordic Centre. Bring both skate and classic gear. We will do a full change half way through the session, so you can change your boots as well. Kick wax recommendation- Swix Universal Klister
