Hello LCs,
Great work out in Callaghan Valley for all of you that raced at Westerns. With the majority of the team leaving for Easterns in just over a week, training will be primarily focused on recovery and maintenance.
There is some sickness going around, so be sure to wash your hands and look after yourselves. If you are feeling the slightest bit sick, do not come to training. Rest and let yourself get healthy!
Tuesday(24) 4:30-6:30 Strength and classic skiing. Everyone will start in the gym, then we will head out on snow to finish off the session.
Wednesday(25) 4:30-6:30 Skate technique work. Meet at the teamroom.
Thursday(26) 4:30-6:00 Classic speed work. Meet at the teamroom.
Saturday(28) 10:00-12:00 Skate distance at Mt Shark. It is about a 1hr drive to the Mt Shark Trailhead from Canmore. We will meet at 10am in the stadium ready to ski. The trails are reported as thin, but adequate coverage. You should be ok to train on your race skis, but you can bring your warm ups if uncomfortable avoiding a bush or 2 sticking out of the snow. Don’t forget to pack your change of clothes and post workout meal!
