    Hello LC Biathletes,

With Rachel away coaching in Europe for the next week and a half, you will be getting the opportunity to really focus on improving your skiing technique over the next few sessions. We will be combining all XC and BIA sessions through February 4th.

Things are getting busy here at the club, with athletes racing all over the country this weekend. Be sure to look after all the little details to ensure you are well prepared (equipment is in good order, skis are waxed, poles are correct height, arriving on time to training, you are giving yourself proper recovery… just to name a few). With the warm weather recently, you will need klister on classic days until it snows again.

Registration is open for AB Cup 5/6 in Red Deer https://zone4.ca/reg.asp?id=11273&lan=1&cartlevel=1

The first week of February we will have the best Biathletes in the world right here in our home town, and you have a chance for a front row seat in the Canmore Nordic Bleachers! More information on the home page of the website http://www.canmorenordic.com/canmore-nordic-ski-club-bleacher-party/

    Training this week:

    Monday: OFF

Tuesday: 4:30-6:30 Classic skiing and strength. Meet at the teamroom.

Wednesday: 4:30-6:00 Skating speed work. Meet at the teamroom.

Thursday: No team training- Prepare for Red Deer.

Friday-Sunday: AB Cup 5/6 in Red Deer. See trip document from Matt for more information if attending. OR NorAm in Mt Ste Anne. See information from Alain if attending.

“Winners actually do sweat the small stuff; because they know that getting the details right is the difference between success and failure.”
