Hello Team-
I hope you had a good Canada day weekend. Good job in the run for those that did it.
We will now train in the mornings for the summer. Note that we have a couple of non-traditional workouts coming up.
1) We will run from Banff to Canmore via the Riverside trail on Wednesday (6). You will need to organize a drop-off for 10am. See posting below.
2) We have the Canmore to lake Louise bike ride scheduled for July 14-15. In order to keep the cost down we recomend that families of the participants submit parts of meals. We will send you an email with more details shortly.
3) See below for individual meetings for those that I haven’t met yet.
Here are the details for the workouts this week:
Monday (4): Harvey Heights parking lot, 10am – 11:30am. Z1 RS-CL + Speed + Strength on skis. Pick up is at the top of Silver Tip (look for coach’s cars)
Tuesday (5): Bike or run to BWTC (20min of either form). Running speed (bring running shoes if biking) + agility + strength in gym. Run or rollerski back home at the end. 10am – noon.
Wednesday (6): Distance run from Banff to Canmore via the Riverside trail. Drop off at the trail head at 10am (drive by Bow Falls, then on one way bridge pass golf course). We will arrive the team room around noon. Bring water, a snack and bear spray. We could use 1-2 parents for this workout.
Thursday (7): 10am-noon, BWTC. Strength in gym to start (bring indoor and outdoor shoes), and we will finish with some RS-SK upper body and legs strength.
