    Hello LCs,

The final week of spring training is here. So that means summer is just around the corner. To kick off the summer training this year we will have 1 week here at home before diving into 2 training camps: Kaslo and the Haig.

During our first week of summer training is the Canada Day Run. As many of you have not raced for a while, this is important for you to get out and push yourself in a race setting again. As LCs, you are physically fit enough to run the 8km, so that is what we are expecting. Remember, early bird registration ends at 11:59PM on June 23. Register here https://zone4.ca/reg.asp?id=9308

It is important that you sign up for biking groups for Kaslo so we coaches can solidify the planning for the camp. Remember, it is road biking or mt biking. http://doodle.com/34sc8pqaatwt87yx

If you are going to the Haig, it is necessary to sign up on zone4 as it is now an online waiver. Please sign up here: https://zone4.ca/reg.asp?id=9404&lan=1&cartlevel=1

    Training this week:
Tuesday(23): 4:45-6:15 Skate rollerski. Technique and speed. Meet at the teamroom.

Wednesday(24): 4:45-6:15 Strength test. We are focusing on testing a bit more this year to help measure your progress as athletes and improve your training. So it is important that for each test you give your all to really get the best results possible. Meet at the teamroom.

I can accept failure. Everyone fails at something. But what I can’t accept is not trying. –Michael Jordan
