Last week of school and exams!! also CAMP WEEK!!!!
It’s an important week to get those physical hours in so we can get a good overload in training and make you fitter! Again, if your struggling with exams and homework the first thing to go should be the shooting. Try your best to get the physical training hours in!
Here is the plan for the week:
Tuesday (23):
TW/TC/LC: Uphill Rski TT. 4:30-6:30pm. TT will start at 5:15pm. Don’t miss this great workout and a chance to produce the best test yet!
Wednesday (24): (Plan attached)
a.m. TW: Z1 SK combo and sprints. 8:30-10:30am.
p.m. TC/LC: Z1 SK combo with sprints. 4:30-6:30pm.
Thursday (25): TW/TC/LC: 4:30-6:30pm
Girls: Go do your strength plan. No shooting. Then take friday off! (this is different then your training plan as I don’t want you to have too much on your plate during exam week.
Guys: will do CL ski strength (lots of DP and DA’s). (Plan attached)
Friday (26):
OFF day for everyone, rest and recover.
CANMORE CAMP: WAHOOO!
* All sessions are for TW/TC/LC
Saturday (27):
a.m. Z3 running/ski stride (bring CL poles). Meet east side of Peaks of Grassi. 9:00am start.
p.m. Z1 CL Rski combo. 3:00-4:30pm.
Sunday (28):
a.m. Z1 Rski SK at BVPP (distance ski and sprints). 9:15am start. Bring vests!
p.m. training on own (most of you have a bike ride)
Monday (29):
a.m. DP up Norquay. Up a few times each. CL gear, TW’s could consider SK gear if they think they can DP the whole time. 9:00am start.
p.m. Z1 running combo. 4:00-5:30pm
Tuesday (30):
a.m. CL TT up Norquay Rd (nice new pavement!). You will warm-up and cool-down on Vermillion Lakes Rd (also new pavement!). 9:00am start.
Wednesday (1):
a.m. Canada Day Run!!! Register on Zone 4 by 11pm June 29, 2009
Race Package Pick-up:
June 30, 2009 from 1:30 to 6:30 at Ultimate Fit Centre Running Store
July 1, 2009 from 7:30 to 8:30 at Centennial Park
Schedule of Events:
9:00 a.m. 8 km run /walk starts
9:05 a.m. 3 km run/walk starts
10:00 a.m. Kids’ Obstacle Course starts
10:30 awards and draw prizes
It’ll be a good week and a half of training! This is where we put in the hard training that makes the difference in the winter!
