    Hello U16/U18,

Our final week of spring training has arrived and school is wrapping up for the year! Our summer will kick off next week with the Canada Day Run (athlete choice of 5km or 10km based on what you will be able to race your best), then right into 3 weeks of training camps with the Haig and Kaslo.  Typically when a program hosts a camp, we will not offer team training here in town, but with the split week of the Haig, and it being ’09 and older athletes invited, we will offer some training during the 2 weeks that the Haig camp falls on. Full details will be shared in a designated post, but those sessions will be July 3, 4, 10, 11 from 9:00-11:00 and in town (no complicated logistics).

Haig camp details have been shared via email. If you have questions, ask Matt.  Enjoy the end of the school year celebrations, but keep the demands of the Haig camp in the front of your mind so you enter the camp with proper rest ready to train 25+ hours for the week.

Kaslo camp details will hit your inbox from Caitlin this week. If you have questions, ask Caitlin.

    Training this week:

    Tuesday(25)

    Wednesday(26)
    Multi/Primo/TTS
6:00-7:00 3,000M Run with Foothills and XC Bragg Creek at the Nakoda Elementary Track. We will plan on a 6:30 start for the Males, 6:45 for the Females.

    Thursday(27)
    TTS
    5:00-6:00 Strength with Chelsea.

    Friday(27)
    Multi/Primo/TTS
2:00-3:00 Special bonus session: If you had to miss the 3K on Wednesday, today is a chance to squeak it in. Heidi has volunteered to come out to the LGMS track to monitor a session. Race Start at 2:30. Bring your heart rate monitor and time yourself (10 Laps).  Heidi will try to help time/track, but it’ll be your responsibility to count, time, and upload your file to training peaks for coaches to view/ adjust training zones.

It’s not whether you get knocked down, its whether you get back up.
