    Howdy U14-2’s

Spring has sprung and it’s June already! Oh how the time flies.

Here’s our details for practice, and our home camp this weekend.

    Monday (3) @LGMS Track

5:00-6:30. Meet outside the entrance to the LGMS Track. We will warm up with a small run to the river, talk warmup and running technique with a workout on the track, finishing with a game in the field + a trail run cooldown.

    Mini Home Camp Details

We will be seeking 1-2 parent tail gunners for each day of our Mini Camp, if you are available and interested please let me know.

Sunday (8) Mini Camp Day 1 – EEOR Hike

Meet at the Goat Creek Parking Lot @8:50am. An early start to the day to try and beat the weekend rush. We will be hiking to meadow, grabbing a great view and returning. Bring either a camelback or water belt, rain jacket (should the weather look questionable, better to bring and not use), as well as 2-3 bar sized snacks.

    Pickup ~@12:00 at the trailhead.

Sunday (9) Mini Camp Day 2 – 1A Cycle (TBC – See Note Below)

Meet at Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre parking lot @9:00am. We will be cycling the length of Highway 1A, be sure to bring 2 water bottles and a bar sized snack for each hour. A lunch for your drive home is recommended too as we will be finishing up after noon. Road bikes are not required, if using a mountain bike ensure the tires are pumped a little firmer before the start of the ride.

Given the volume of bear activity along the parkway, please return to the forum midweek to confirm our ride location. We may change our cycle to something a little more local, with a 50km Legacy Trail ride starting from Travel Alberta if the wildlife presence remains high.

Our numbers are large enough to be a good sized group of 7-8, we will stick with our 1A destination.

    Pickup @12:00 at the trailhead.
