    Hello,

Summer time is truly the time when winter endurance athletes can build their fitness foundation. And to be sure you are ready to take on and absorb all this great training, we need to know you are healthy. LCs should have received an email from Alain about Blood Monitoring. We need those results by June 15 so that any issues can be addressed and you can get the most out of your training.

LC+ also please ensure you have signed up for your Functional Movement Screening. This is a great tool to find any imbalances and help prevent injury. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hi-IgK-GqHZ-Fpp2JdiZkBMr0_bLqLvWRvh-BOYBk04/edit#gid=0

Fill out your Training Peaks. Synchronizing your watch is the best way to do this, or using the app seems to work very well for many athletes to stay on top of it.

Training this week: (note the bonus Saturday session)

Tuesday(6): 4:45-6:15 TT/LC/LC+ AMAZING RACE- Woodland Edition! Continuing on from our previous Amazing Race, we will now head into the forest for another challenge. Meet at the teamroom with running shoes, drink belt, bear spray, and 1 phone per group.

Wednesday(7): 4:45-6:15 LC/LC+ Strength and Short Run. Meet at the BWTC.

The forecast is looking poor for Saturday, so please see the updated plan below.

Saturday(10): 10:00-11:30 LC/LC+ Run. Meet at Cougar Creek parking lot with appropriate clothing to run in the rain/cool temperatures and bring a bear spray. We will only have 1 coach at this session, so it will be great to have some parents along.

Sunday(11): 11:15-2:15 LC/LC+ Road Bike Highwood Pass. Please leave town by 10:00 so that you are on your bike and ready to ride at 11:15am. Meet at the Road Closed Gate on HWY 40. https://www.google.ca/maps/dir/Canmore,+AB/50.714939,-115.1078796/@50.8970435,-115.2155441,10z/data=!4m6!4m5!1m2!1m1!1s0x5370c59595456331:0x46b6315f9e1e692e!1m0!3e0 We are going with a later departure to try and take advantage of the warmer temp in the day.

We will only have 1 coach at this session, so it will be great to have some parents along as tail gunners and to ride with the groups. Don’t forget food (during and after your ride), lots of water, and a change of clothes.
