Hi everyone,
Here is the week ahead:

Monday: With the freezing cold weather hanging on for one more day, TA is cancelled (we were always planning to have this as a day off after the AB Youth Champs anyway). I encourage you to get some exercise at the pool or at the climbing wall or other suitable indoor pursuits. Spring is due to arrive later this week it seems!

Thursday: Classic skiing. This is the annual “try TA” night for all graduating jackrabbits and any other keen skiers you may know. Anybody age 9-11 is welcome to come out and give it a try so if you have some buddies that have been wanting to give TA a whirl bring them on out. We will play some games and show them a great TA time.
For newcomers: meet at Biathlon Team Room #2, go to the lower parking lot and look for all the kids milling about outside the room with the big 2 on the door, 5- 6:30pm.

Friday: Last day to register for the Rocky Mtn Ski Challenge. Register here: https://zone4.ca/reg.asp?id=6432&lan=1 . (Note: Please register as Canmore Nordic Ski Club rather than CNSC – we are proud of our club and everyone should know who we are!)

Sunday: The famous Rocky Mtn Ski Challenge. Grab your brothers and sisters and parents and come on out to our last Canmore Nordic hosted event of the ski season. I encourage all TA kids to come out and race in the RMSC. This is a perfect event for first time racers consisting of a skating race followed by the downhill challenge (a little more tame than the one we did the other night). 8)

We still need volunteers to run the event. It takes lots of people to make all these events happen. Come on out and give us a hand. This event is at risk of not appearing in the schedule in the future if we don’t get behind it – TA parents we are the next generation to take this fun race on and keep it going!
