Hi everyone,
Great job to all the kids that went to the AB Youth Championships this weekend in Bragg Creek. You all skied very well, showed amazing team spirit and contributed to Canmore Nordic winning the Championship banner!
8)Well we are already at our final week of TA for the season. It has really flown by!
Lots of fun planned this week. We are breaking the wrap-up into two parts so that Tim, Eric, Annika and Peter can join us for the wrap-up before they head to the Canadian Championships.
Monday: Skating. Beach theme. With the crazy warm weather bust out your beach shorts, bathing suits, (over top of your tights and top), leis, and sunglasses because last year’s popular beach day is back! 8) We will ski from 5-6pm then head inside the BWTC for TA awards from 6-about 6:45pm. Parents welcome for the awards part. Make sure you have a big snack/ light dinner before coming to TA and maybe bring a bar for your pocket as we will finish up a little later than usual.
Thursday: Skate from 5-5:45pm. Then head inside the BWTC for a pizza party and slideshow from 5:45-6:45pm. This is the last day of TA for the 2014-15 season. All kids need to bring $5 for pizza. Wendy will send an email for what food to bring to supplement the pizza (fruit/veggies or dessert).
Notice: The race organizing committee has decided to cancel the Rocky Mtn Ski Challenge as of Sunday night due to unseasonably warm temps.
It has been a real pleasure to coach all the TA kids this winter. See you at the wrap-up(s)!
