Hi Everyone:

Just in from an exciting weekend at Biathlon Nationals in Hinton. It is ironic that the event in Hinton was plagued by poor snow conditions to arrive back in Canmore to a blizzard. Congrats to Katrine, Anna and Lucas for their efforts over the week. Lots of great racing in the Sprint, Pursuit, Individual and Relay races. We met and visited with lots of friends from clubs around the country. This week we will have an opportunity to finish off the season with Kindercup race on Wednesday. All Polar Bears, Black Bears, and LC1’s can participate.

The categories are Air Rifle1, Air Rifle2, and Dev 1. If you are Dev 1 or Dev 2 register as a Div 1, we will sort the classes out on the race evening. Registration closes at midnight on Tuesday.

Hi Everyone:

I hope you have had a restful month. As you may know CNSC has hired a new biathlon coach, Rachel Koroscil. Rachel will be starting at the end of the month, once she moves to Canmore and gets settled. I have scheduled the following practices for May to get you started on your training. I will be asking for feedback on this schedule as we need sufficient participation to run the practices.

Monday, May 4 – 4:30-6:00
Saturday, May 9 – 9:00 – 10:30
Monday, May 11 – 4:30 – 6:00
May 15 – 18 – Sovereign Lake Camp
Saturday, May 23 – 9:00 – 4:30
Monday, May 25, – 4:30 – 6:00
Saturday, May 30 – 9:00 – 10:30
Monday, June 1 – 4:30 – 6:00
