Beautiful ski at Lake Louise on Saturday. Lovely to have so many of you and your parents along for a ski.

This week will be our last full week of training, gearing up for the Alberta Youth Champs at Bragg Creek this weekend. You can still sign up for the Champs on Zone4 until Tuesday. It will be a great weekend of racing and a great chance to make some new ski friends from other Albertan Clubs!!

We still do not have access to the Team Room so meet out the front of the BWTC at the start of the workouts.

    Monday (2)
Classic technique and speeds with specific focus on double pole and double pole kick. Wax recommendation: Rode Multigrade covered with Swix Blue Extra stick x 4. Please arrive early so we can start skiing at 5pm as we’ll head into the protection of the trees if we are skiing. At this stage the temperature is predicted to be quite cold (-17) so please check back here Monday afternoon to see if we are still going to ski. Alternative with be a short run then head into the gym.

    Wednesday (4)
    Skate with relay practice.
T2’s: this will be your second and final LC orientation session. Please check the LC Forum and be ready to ski at 5:00pm.

    Saturday & Sunday
    Alberta Youth Champs
Saturday AM Skate individual Start 2.5km, PM Skate Relays 1.25km – dress up theme: onesies with fabulous head wear.
Sunday AM Mass start Classic waves 3.5km

    Monday (9)
Final official Train to Train workout. 😳 We will round out our wonderful season with a short recovery run followed by a team dinner and presentation.  It would be great to have all of the TT’s present and of course parents are welcome. It would be great if everyone could bring a plate of food to share, a mix of savory and sweet. Location TBC.

Never say never because limits, like fears, are often just an illusion.
