Great work out at the Alberta Youth Champs! We coaches saw lots of great efforts put in by all you athletes and a very positive, supportive, and fun atmosphere around you. Keep up the good work. As well, well done skiing in the soft snow out there. It was impressive to see so many of you striding well where other athletes were having to get out of the tracks and run/ herringbone.

The most of you provided us with good skis, freshly waxed, and on Saturday with a nice thin layer of base binder applied. If any of this sounds foreign to you, please take 15 minutes to watch the videos that are posted on the top of the forum to see ideal ski prep. If you do not own a metal brush (ideally brass) it will make your life easier to purchase one. Our sport is hard enough pushing our way up hills, so please take care of your skis to make it easier to glide. It is a lot more fun as well.

While the final XC race of the year has come to a close for the midgets, and 1 more Biathlon Race, the skiing conditions are still GREAT here in town. It will be great for you all to continue to build on all the great work we have made over the year by getting out and skiing for the rest of March.

The Train to Train Season Wrap Up session/ pot luck supper will be on Wednesday, March 21 from 5pm to 7pm. Similar to last year, we are inviting parents out for a fun afternoon on skis, then a little TT party in the BWTC for about 1 hour.

    Sessions this week:

Monday 5th – No team session
Rest up after a long weekend in Bragg Creek

    Wednesday 7th 5:00 – 6:30
Skate Ski. Meet at the teamroom.

    Saturday 10th 10:00 – 11:30
Group skate ski at CNC. Parents and siblings welcome.
