Hello,
It is the Canmore leg of the Ski Tour Canada this week! Time to get pumped and see some amazing skiing right here on our home trails. With all the excitement, remember we are still focusing on racing your best in Whitehorse in 2 weeks, so be sure you are being smart about your energy, activity, and recovery.
If you are forerunning on a day that we have team training, you should still attend team training. Check in with your coach if you are feeling very tired after forerunning and we will discuss.
Training this week:
Tuesday(8): 4:30-6:00 Skate intensity, Meet in front of the Bill Warren.
Wednesday(9): 4:30-6:00 Classic distance. Wax with a mix of Swix universal and Rodi Rosa Klister. Meet in front of the Bill Warren.
Thursday(10): 1:00-3:00 OR 4:30-6:00 Stake time trial 5km for all. Meet in front of the Bill Warren. If you can skip the afternoon of school, the 1:00-3:00 Time trial will be a dress rehearsal for the world cup: bibs, transponders, cameras, announcers, and hopefully a DVD of you racing! Treat it like a serious time trial, full race suit and all. If you can not skip school, we will run the same time trial course at 4:30 to 6:00.
Saturday(12): No team training. Focus on recovery after an exciting week of world cup spectating. An easy jog, elevate the legs, roll, and stretch.
