Welcome to spring! Break out the sunscreen, because it it hot out there. Really sets the mood well for the first item for business this week: the 2015 CNSC Vernon Camp. If you are not attending nationals, it is important for you to keep skiing over the next 2 weeks so that you are still in touch with your skis for the final Alberta Cup of the year. We have arranged for some guest coaching while Alain, Allison, and Matt are away in Thunder Bay.
Team Training:
Monday(9): 4:30-5:45 Skating. Meet at the teamroom. We will be doing a 1.3km time trial to continue preparing for nationals. If you are not going to nationals, it is a great workout and good for you to come. After training, we will be packing the trailer to go to Thunder Bay. We will provide Performance Red for you to wax your skis that you ski on Monday night. This way they will be travel waxed for the long drive. Bring your ski bag tonight if you are going to Nationals.Thursday (12): 5:30-7:00 Skating with Alaric. Meet at the team room
Saturday (14): SORRY, TEAM TRAINING CANCELED. Unable to line up the session with Foothills and make the team session work. Grab a friend/teammate/parent/dog and go for a 1 hour zone 1 activity of your choice.
Sunday (15): Rocky Mountain Ski Challenge has been CANCELED due to lack of snow 🙁
Thursday (19): 5:30-7:00 Surprise workout with Alaric. Sorry for the late update, but in part I was waiting to see if the snow holds out. It has… sort of. So we will ski one more session. Skate skis again, and ideally not your best race skis as the snow is a bit dirty. We will stick to the machine made snow as the rest is getting pretty unpredictable. See you tomorrow afternoon/evening at the team room.
