    Hello Biathletes,

    Reminders from Matt:
    I hope you are all doing your snow dance because we are just 2 weeks away from the first race of the season. The race notice is on our home page, but as with all AB Cups, we recommend you register on zone4 five days before the event.

    The first Calforex Cup is also posted on Zone4. Same registration guidelines are recommended.

    Things will be getting quite busy between now and Christmas break. So look after yourselves, do your best to get ahead on school, eat well, hydrate, and try to get 9 hours of sleep every night.

    Everyone should have received the out of town XC Race details document from Alain, but to remind you, the deadline to book your hotel in Edmonton for the AB Cup is Friday, November 18. If you do not book by then, the rooms will be released and you will not be able to get the group rate. The individual cancellation (once you have booked your room) is the usual 3 days prior to arrival with no penalty. So, get your booking in now!

    Remember, you must have your headlamp for all our outdoor training sessions. This is for your and your teammate’s safety. No headlamp=no training outside.

    Training for this week: Read carefully as LC1s and LC2s are on different programs with the camp on the weekend. Check back often as the weather is still changing…

    Monday (14): Off, No training

    Tuesday(15): 4:30-6:00 SKATE SKI with Ski Specific Strength with Shooting Combo Bring runners either way in case the range is still too icy or dirty to ski.

    Wednesday(16):
    LC1: No team training
    LC2: 4:30-6:30 Skate ski and Run. Meet at the teamroom.

    Thursday(17):
    LC1: 4:30-5:30 Strength. Meet at the BWTC
    LC2: 5:30-6:30 Strength. Meet at the BWTC

    Friday(18)- Sunday (20)
    LC1: Bow Valley Camp- See “trip” document from Allison
    LC2: Training with R.A.D.- More details to come from Alain pending weather.

    LC2 Biathletes and LC1s not in the Camp: Saturday Combo Training (9:00-11:00) Will decide which mode (run, ski, roller ski) later this week.
