One more week break for the ITA kids. Back to full programming next week (Nov 28th) Monday/Thursday 5:00-6:30!
Tuesday: Last night of gymnastics. Remember to bring your favorite activities for Kelly to work into the evening. 7:00-8:30pm. Outdoor clothes for the warm up, indoor clothes for the gym part.
Thursday: CLASSIC SKIING. 5:00-6:30pm. Bring your headlamp. Apply a layer of Swix Universal Klister to your classic skis. With this fresh snow around 0 degress and cooling temperatures it will likely be a glazed track and maybe icy. After the wax clinics everyone should be ready to test out their new skills. A reminder for skis that were tested on the top or side of the ski there is a marking system: 0.1 is where you should wax to the first few sessions, then we can look to see if the wax is being worn off back to the 0.2 mark, likely this will be the top of your wax pocket. The amount of layers a ski needs corresponds to the marks. eg: 0.2 = 0.2mm or equivalent of 2 thin grip wax layers. Add layers accordingly.
On the waxing note.
Wax clinics are being offered this week and next week. Sign up for those: http://www.doodle.com/aa5afdhf5mywfm46
We have written in our CNSC Code of Conduct that everyone including Track Attack and above take a waxing clinic, which you signed during registration. Please make this a priority. There will be lots of great information, you can ask all the questions you want, and the goal is to have you leave feeling confident in your waxing abilities. (Code of Conduct can be found here: http://www.canmorenordic.com/main.php?p=561)Lake Louise Info: Everyone was email the schedule which can also be found as a file at the bottom of this post.
Planning Ahead
Monday Nov 28th. We are back to regular programming. We will be having a session tonight. The ITA’s are itching to get back at it. It will be a low key evening with a focus on stretching. This will be a great session especially after a great weekend at Lake Louise. This session will be 5:00-6:00pm (shorten by :30min) and will be a combination of a short warm up run or game, and then indoors.AB Cup #1,2 is fast approaching Dec 3rd and 4th. Registration Deadline is Tuesday Nov 29th 11:00pm MST CNSC will be offering wax and coaching support for Sunday’s race of individual classic for the Track Attacks. All the information of the day can be found on the race notice here: http://www.canmorenordic.com/main.php?p=237
We are suggesting and supporting one race, the classic, as there will be plenty of races throughout the winter, a slow and steady start to the season will make sure the kids have energy to last.See you soon
