Hi everyone,
Great job to all the kids in the first couple of sessions on snow this week. Everyone is focusing on their technique and improvements are evident already!Busy week ahead with the races coming up:
Monday: Day off for LT2s that went to Lk Louise camp. For everyone else classic skiing. We will work on our sprint starts and some double poling. First klister day of the year, yeah! Wax: Swix Universal klister, or Rode universal klister. I will be at the team room from 4:40pm on for those that have not taken the wax clinic yet and need some help to apply. We are out the door skiing at 5pm sharp so if you need help please arrive early.
Wednesday: Deadline to sign up on Zone 4 for the AB cup races. Note that signing up on the google sign up sheet does not get your child registered in the race. There are NO late entries in any of these races so please register your child as soon as you are done reading this post: https://zone4.ca/reg.asp?id=7883&lan=1
Thursday: Skate.
Saturday: AB Cup 1. Classic sprint. Update: This race has been cancelled for mini-midgets, pee wees, and atoms by the race jury due to forecast cold temperatures (-15C is the cutoff for these categories).
Sunday: AB Cup 2. Skate race. Jury decision 3:45pm Thursday: Race has been cancelled due to cold forecast and travel advisories on the roads. Organizers will try to reschedule or will give refund. Stay tuned to main page of CNSC website for updates.
