Hi Team
Looks like a lot of good snow making up at the Nordic Centre, the skiing will improve each day.
Remember to:
– Update ilog regularity (daily or every couple days)
– Do some stretching daily. This will help you out with more available power when skiing and reduce the risk of injury
– Wear heart rate monitors while training and stay in your zones
– Always bring water/sport drink and drink through-out training. It’s getting colder out so it’s harder to tell how much sweat loss you have (absorbed in your clothing), but your are losing a lot.
– Be on time! The times below are the start of practice, arrive earlier so you are ready to go please
Tuesday (8): 4:15-6:00pm. Z1-4 ski stride/run intensity. Meet at team room. Bring classic poles for striding and a head lamp.
Wednesday (9): 4:30-6:30pm. Two groups:
Guys: Z1 SK combo for whole time
Those girls committing to Amanda’s sessions: 4:30-5:30pm, Z1 SK ski with Amanda/group, 5:30-6:30pm, combo, more shoot, less ski.
Thursday (10): 4:30-6:30pm. Z1-2 running/agility combo and gym strength
Friday (11): 11:30-1:30pm. Z1-3 SK combo
No team sessions on the weekend, just Z1 skiing on your own. Get in those hours!
