Hello TTs,
Well done last week with 2 big skis up in Lake Louise! That was some great training that builds your foundation of fitness for years to come. You are most likely tired on Sunday/Monday, but that energy will come back with lots of good food and sleep and you will be stronger and fitter.
Please note, any outstanding balance of program fees is due November 30th.
AB Cups are officially postponed until January at the earliest.
Remember your headlamp for every after school session! This is for your safety while you are skiing, and to help others see you and not run into you. Athletes have been injured in the past from collisions, so it is in your best interest to be seen.
Training this week:
Monday(16) Classic Ski @ CNC
POD 4: 5:00-6:15
POD 5: 6:15-7:30
We will get in another classic ski on hardwax before it warms up too much as forecasted later this week. Your wax from skiing on the weekend will be good, with 2 more layers of Rode Violet on top. Tonight we will focus on striding tempo, strength, and balance. Meet in front of the teamroom.
Tuesday(17) Biathlon @ CNC
POD 4: 4:45-6:15
Wednesday(18) Skate Ski @ CNC
STARTING TODAY: For safety reasons, we will not allow athletes to ski without a headlamp – it’s dangerous to go down hills in the dark at 40 km/hr! Athletes that don’t have a headlamp at last light and beyond will need to ski in the biathlon stadium. Last light is at 5:30pm
POD 4: 6:15-7:30
POD 5: 5:00-6:15
Get ready for a sprinting and agility extravaganza! Meet in front of the teamroom.
Saturday(21) Run & Classic Ski @ CNC
POD 4: 12:30-2:30
POD 5: 12:30-2:30
We will all start with a 45 minute run (in separate pods), then jump into a little kick waxing clinic for 20 minutes before starting our ski. I recommend scraping off your old kick wax, but no need to do a full clean. We will apply the wax of the day. Bring your RODE VIOLET and a cork.
