    Hello LCs,

Good work over the weekend training and getting in that first on snow time trial. We are still early in the season with the big goals of the season still months away, but it is good to get moving fast and get your head ready for racing.

As noted by Alain in an email on Friday, it looks 99% sure that the AB Cups on Nov 26-27 will take place. Registration deadline is Wednesday, Nov 23rd at 11:00pm. When you register, please mark Canmore Nordic for your club (not CNSC). Don’t delay, register today. Registration link: https://zone4.ca/reg.asp?id=13652

We are a large club and use the big club spreadsheet for all of our planning. Please have a look and be sure your races choices are up to date. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1E5FwR6YeHcZBk12xi4FvRLqS1ljXh51x-K3vcOH-r74/edit#gid=0

Nutrition workshop for parents of athletes presented by Kelly Anne Erdman (http://www.healthandperformancenutritioninc.com). The workshop will take place in the at the Bill Warren Training Centre, Thursday, December 1, 7:30 – 9:00pm. The cost is $10, please bring exact change.

    Training this week:
Tuesday(22) 4:30-6:00 Strength and Rolling, inside all session. Meet in the BWTC gym. Remember, 4:30 means the session starts at that time, not you are just pulling into the parking lot.

Wednesday(23) 4:30-6:30 CLASSIC SKI TESTING For the AB CUP on Sunday there is a 95% chance you will not be able to test your wax on your race skis due to the lack of snow. So, we will be getting skis dialed in tonight as well as some speed work. Apply a thin layer of Green or Blue klister (NOT UNIVERSAL!) at home. We will apply kick wax at the start of the session.

    Thursday(24) No team training

Friday(25) 4:30-5:30 Course inspection/pre race training. Skating. Meet at the teamroom. If you need to test skis for tomorrow’s race, ski with one of each possible race skis on each foot to get a feel for what feels faster. The AB Cup is a Low Fluoro race, but we would still like you to drop off your skate skis for Saturday at the teamroom tonight by 8PM at the latest. We will not be adding any high fluoro waxes, but want you to practice delivering your race skis to us coaches before your race. LF wax recommendation to come.

Saturday(26) and Sunday(27)- AB Cub 1 and 2. More details to be posted on the forum Friday and Saturday night around 8PM after each Team Captain Meeting.
